TDA Land

The Tourism Development Area (TDA) is a reserve zone for tourism development purposes. The West Coast TDA comprises of the coastal stretch from Kotu Bridge to Kartong measuring 800 meters inland, from the High Water Mark. It was leased to Central Government in 1969 by the Kombo North District Authority for a period of 51 years and was subsequently extended to 99 years by the State Lands Act of 1991. Currently, the head lease (SR NO. K226/2015) is under the custody of GTBoard as per the GT Board Act 2011 Part IX (46).

The  Governing Body of the GTBoard at its last sitting on the and subsequently the cabinet sitting  on the 9th August 2017 have approved and instructed that all allottees developer, promoters and lease holders of properties within the  TDA who have not complied with the covenants of their allocation are hereby informed that their allocations have been cancelled. All affected allottees are requested to surrender to the Board their original allocation letters at the GTBoard within two weeks from the date of this this publication.

Furthermore allottees that have secured leases without fulfilling their allocation covenants are requested to surrender those leases to the Department of Lands and surveys on or before the stipulated time to avoid their names published.

In a similar vein, the GT Board wishes to remind all those that are doing transfer/assignment/sale of land in the Brufut Heights to come forward to the GT Board to regularise the status of the land before the transfer/ Assignment/ sale is put in effect.

All concerns are duly informed that, Ida Drammeh & Associates have been instructed to Act on behalf of the GTBoard to begin the re-entry processes.
