With the untapped potential in the tourism industry, there is urgent need for further strengthening of the industry with investments in the value chain. The Government of the Gambia, through the Gambia Investment & Export Promotion Agency, has a number of incentives to encourage and facilitate investments in the tourism industry, including tax breaks and allocation of land for investment under a lease scheme.
